MS Awareness Week Round Up

So, I’ve had six comments with six people named.  I know another 4 plus my MS group of about 20….so with just a week’s worth of asking and only six people commenting, we’ve found 30.  So, what was the point?  I think the point was that we all stood still for a minute and thought about it.  I think awareness is the first step.  The next would be activism.  That is one I plan to work on.   I have walked in a 50 mile walk to DC and raised a good deal of money doing it, volunteered for the MS Jack and Back in TN and donated to various other riders or walkers through the last couple of years.  I’m going to figure out how to do more during this next year…but in the meantime:  Shelia, I’m on Rebif and would be more than happy to talk to you about it.  Also, I got to know some great people in the MS community back in Nashville and I would love to hook you up.  Anyone else out there struggling personally or know someone struggling with dealing with the MonSter….email me.  I will be happy to lend an ear, maybe that’s what I can do to help right now.

I love you! Your incredible way of reaching out really touches me and I pray that God will put people in your path who do need your “ear” and courage and strength! And that itjust comes back to you tenfold! Dianne, I want to do a MonSter walk with you (either walking or riding a segway next to me or doing water runs or whatever you feel like doing) Let’s make that our goal for 2009 (or 2008 if it happens to be going on in june but i doubt it)

ok, this is the 5th time i’ve tried to send u this comment * with nolan, aubrey and emmie up here, i’d get it almost finished, have to get up and do something and then some mysterious person gets on computer to play games and my stuff is off in cyberworld or someplace. anyway, my plan was that when becca comes home in june, we need to get all of us together(allison, u, me, becca, grey, emmie and heather(i guess) and we’ll knit scarves, hats, whatever. then, we sell these wonderful items to raise money for ms society. needless to say, we’ve got to hit on other relatives, friends, people we work with to buy them. hey, we can do this!!!!! love u, mama
